Hi everyone...
I hope ALL is well!

* Veluxe will be playing the 1st annual Rochester Indie Fest on Sat. Oct. 4th(yes, this Sat.). It is being put on by the same person who started the Rochester Jazz Festival and looks to grow into something of epic proportions. Here is the link: Rochester Indie Fest. They hope to eventually model it after the South By Southwest Festival that happens every year in Austin, TX. Anyhow, Veluxe (www.myspace.com/veluxe) will be playing at 11PM. Tickets are $10(yes I'm sorry about the steep price but it's well worth it). There are a bunch of great acts playing like Gregory Paul(starting at 7PM) who is one of Rochester's FINEST musicians, along with Mint Jam, Julia Nunes(who has toured with Ben Folds), Jodi Shaw and The Wicked Felinas.

* We will be promoting the show on Thursday morning on 98.9 FM, which is the "Kimberly and Beck" show. We will be on at precisely 8AM. We will do a short interview, play one song from the CD and play possibly two songs LIVE!! If for some reason you cannot listen live or don't get that channel or if you live on the other side of the country you can listen on this wonderful thing called the internet. Just go to RochesterBuzz.com and on the top right of the page you will see a link that says "LISTEN LIVE". Click that and you will hear Veluxe in all of our glory. Don't forget 8AM...yes it's early...but grab that coffee and you will be fine.

* Our singer and guitarist Darren DeWispelaere and guitarist Adam Porter will also be making a live appearance promoting the Rochester Indie Fest Show at 9:30AM on WRUR, this Friday October 3rd on 88.5 FM. They will be performing a few acoustic songs. Again, you can listen online. The show is called "Open Tunings" and is hosted by the great Scott Regan. The website is http://www.wxxi.org/radio/wrur/ot/index.html. On the top of the page on www.wrur.org, you will see a link that says "Listen Online" in high quality or low quality. Please check them out.

* Friday November 28th Happy Hour (6pm or so til 10) @ The Bug Jar - This will be a SPECIAL acoustic/semi acoustic show, our music, some choice covers, and maybe a request or two from the "crowd", something very different for us.

* Saturday January 3 @ The Bug Jar - We will be playing another "special" show. We will be covering from beginning to end, one of our ALL TIME favorite EP's by one of the greatest underrated indie bands of all time, the ARCHERS OF LOAF -Check em out at - http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=70282415. The album is called "VS. THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME" and it's quite possibly one of the greatest indie-rock albums of all time(no joke). If you don't have it, you should.
